Golf Courses

Fairways itself backs onto the southern edge of the Amarilla Golf and is just few hundred yards from Golf del Sur. Golf Del Sur was the first of the four courses to be built in the South of Tenerife. The course was built in 1987 and was designed by Pepe Gancedo, this 27 hole championship course is made up of three nine hole courses. There is a North, South and a links course, these can be mixed and matched to make up a combination of different courses. When the North and South courses are played they make up a par 72 of 6422 yards, the North and links course make a par 71 of 6050 yards. The South and the links course make up a par 71 of 6002 yards. The course is very well laid out with its wide fairways which are lined with palm trees and giant cactus plants. One thing to watch out ofr are the bunkers, which are filled with black volcanic sand. The other facilities that the club has to offer are a golf school, driving range, tennis courts, bowls, pro shop, bars and restaurants. Buggies and clubs are also available to hire from the club house

Golf Del Sur - Tenerife South par 72

Amarilla Golf on which Fairways is situated, is an expansive links type course. Designed by Donald Steele this championship 18 hole par 72 course plays an exciting 6933 yards. The layout of the course makes challenging use of the natural contours of the volcanic lava streams providing a picturesque ocean back drop combined with stunning mountain views. It is ideal for the experienced golfer looking for a difficult course as there are a series of daunting tee shots, followed by narrow approaches to well manicured greens. For those who like competitions the freindly locals welcome visitors into their bi-weekly competitions. . Facilities include; Pitch & Put course, driving range, putting green, buggy hire and club hire, plus quality cuisine in the club house.

Amarilla Golf - Tenerife South par 72

Golf Las Americas is situated in between Los Cristianos and Las Americas, this excellent new 18 hole par 72 course offers a beautiful setting sheltered from the winds by the surrounding hills. This 6002 metre course has been designed by Ruebens Henriquez and John Jacobs with holes being surrounded by streams and ravines. The wide fairways are superbly kept and the greens true with an excellent surface. The course was only opened in April 1998 and offers a mature feel and exciting golf for all standards. The impressive club house over looks the course and offers a high quality restaurant and bar.

Golf Las Americas par 72

6291 yards par 71. Located in the north of the island. A private members club founded in 1932. The tree shadowed clubhouse provides a unique ambience to compliment a good mornings golf. Restricted tee times available only. Monday - Friday (08.00 - 13.00). No weekends.

Golf Club Real - Tenerife North par 71

A splendid nine hole golf course set in a small village just outside Los Cristianos. Very relaxed atmosphere in a great setting and well liked be players of all levels for a little practice and a little socialising.

Golf Playa Americas - Tenerife South (9 hole)

Another exciting 27 hole development located just outside Playa Las Americas, on the newly coined 'Costa de Adeje'. Several guests have commented on it's excellence . Once matured, this course has the making of a particularly popular venue.
