Tenerife has so many fine restaurants that whether it's Japanese Teppenyaki, Russian Bortsch or Canarian specialities like salted potatoes with mojo sauce, you're sure to find it somewhere. It would take a long time to list all Tenerife's restaurants and with new venues opening all the time, any such list would quickly be out of date. Here are a few personal favorites, but after booking your apartment you will receive our list of about 20 current local recommendations. These will cater for the needs from family through to couples looking for romantic fine dining - most are within walking distance from Fairways

Moulin Blanco

Just the other side of the motorway from the San Eugino exit at Americas is literally 'The White Windmill'. At night this is a beautiful setting as you can either eat in the orange groves under the moon, outside under bamboo roofing or indoors where there is a small dance floor. Extensive wine list and International menu with a Canarian twist. Service can be a bit erratic, but enjoying a long leisurely evening here is not too much of a problem . Cost with wine is about 40€ per person. Booking essential at weekends.

Mama Roma

This is easily the best Italian restaurant in the area for casual dining and is also within walking distance of Fairways. Situated in the lower square of the San Blas commercial centre at Golf de Sur. It has had the same management for many many years and has been rececently refreshed by Carmelo, the new Owner. Italian chefs and staff serve homemade pasta / pizzas, great meat or freshly caught fish. Staff are very friendly, menu extensive, quality excellent and dependable - you can't ask for more ! Eating indoors or outside with light entertainment and low key music in the square every night. Child friendly, but note closed on Fridays. Cost is about €15 - €30 euros per head with wine. Booking not necessary - they will always find you a table somewhere. Don't miss this one and do go more than once !

El Rincon del Marinero - Los Cristianos

Tucked in the corner of the harbour of Los Cristianos, recognizable by the small fishing boat outside, one of the finest seafood restaurants in Los Cristianos, with a wide variety of fresh fish daily.

Costs from €15 euros per head.

Los Roques

Situated on the harbor side at Los Abrigos, this is gourmet dining in a picturesque setting overlooking colourful fishing boats. It is for good reason that this restaurant appears in one guide, which rates it in the top 100 restaurants in Spain. Very professional service, exceptional food, not cheap but at reasonable cost for the quality.

Rodeo Steakhouse

Located at Torviscas a 15 min drive from Fairways. You´ll find this well kept restaurant in the new, white, round building on the right hand side before the Adeje turn off on the TF1. Meat lover's paradise with all types of juicy cuts of meat cooked over an open fire and then delivered to your table. The meat just keeps coming until you indicate that you've had enough. The salad bar is great - over 40 different salads to choose from and you can go back as often as you want.

Mama Rosa

Located at Colon 2 in central Las Americas. Although ithe exterior appears uninspiring, once inside nouveaux decor, fine linen, cut glass and silver cutlery sets the stage for a 5* Italian meal. Wide ranging Italian / International menu with service to match. Discreet string quartet play most evenings. Not expensive for the quality and ambience at about € 40 - 50 per person.
